C., July 20, 1868, son of John W. and Mary Ann (Harris) Farish. Educated in the public schools of Arkansas. From 1886 to 1895, in the employ of the Southern Express Co., at Little Rock, Ark.; Memphis, Knoxville and Bristol, Tenn.; Lynchburg, Roanoke and Norfolk, Va., and Ocala, Fla. In June, 1895, came to Los Angeles, and for the succeeding six years was connected with Blake,Moffitt & Brown (wholesale paper house), the Los Angeles Electric Co. and engaged in the oil business. Since 1901, actively engaged in the real estate business. Pres. Los Angeles Realty Board, First Vice Pres. California State Realty Federation, and mem. Chamber of Commerce, Municipal League, Municipal Waterways Assn. and Calif. Club. Democrat; in City Council, 1903-4. Thirty-second degree Mason, K. of P. and Forester. Married Alice Aspinall Grindrod, Dec. 4, 1895; two children, Muriel Estelle and Gwendolen.
