	Post Office, Walnut Grove; lives thirty miles from Sacramento, 
down the river; was born in Ohio in 1852, and lived there until 1873, engaged in 
teaching and farming. He came to California in that year, and settled in this 
county; has been engaged in stage-driving and farming. Mr. Fobes was married in 
1878 to Miss Rebecca Callahan, a native of Nebraska.
