Page 255 Post Office, Galt; lives half a mile from that town; was born in New York in 1813; removed to Ohio in 1836, lived there until 1854, engaged in tanning and harness making; he then moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and stopped until 1855, when he went to Iowa, and remained there until 1863, engaged in farming; in that year he came to this State, and settled in this county, where he has since lived; owns eighty acres of land, worth, with improvements, about $3000. He was married in 1836 to Rebecca M. Cowdery, also a native of New York; they have three children, a son and two daughters. Mr. Frank held the office of Postmaster in Ohio nine years.
