Alameda County Biographies JOHN FRICK Transcribed by: Betty Wilson August 2004 This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm JOHN FRICK, of Livermore, was born in Monroe County, near Waterloo, New York, December 24, 1843, and in 1861 came to California by way of Panama. For the first two years after his arrival in this State he engaged in the butchering business at San Francisco; for the next four years, in the same business at San Jos�, and finally, in 1867, he located near Livermore, where he is cultivating 160 acres in grain. He has also another quarter-section of land, nine miles southeast of Livermore, which is devoted principally to grazing. He was married in Livermore, in 1867, to Miss Louisa Whitney, now deceased, and by that marriage there were four children: John R., Louisa, Charles F. and Katherine. In 1880 Mr. Frick was again married, and by this marriage there are also four children: Etta M. Susan M., Herman and William.
