	Post Office, Galt, where he lives; was born in Missouri in 
1838, and lived there until 1859, engaged in farming. He came to California in 
that year, and was in the stock business in San Joaquin County until 1869; he 
then moved to Solano County, and remained there until 1872, when he came to this 
county, and stopped about two and a-half years; then he went to Fresno County, 
and resided about two and a half years, when he returned to this county. He was 
married in 1867 to Lucy Silvey, also a native of Missouri; they have three 
children living, a son and two daughters.
