Page 277. machinist, farmer, and fruit-grower, lives two and one-half miles from Sacramento, his Post Office; owns ten acres of land, valued, with improvements, at about $2,500; born in Ireland in 1830; came to America in 1850, and settled in Vermont, where he followed the machinist trade; came to this State in 1866, via the Isthmus of Panama, and lived in Sacramento until 1878, when he moved to the place where he now resides; is in the employ of the Central Pacific Railway Company as a machinist.
