Kirby, a prominent architect in New England, came to the Pacific coast in 1878, and here the son completed his education and entered the office of his father, where he acquired his profession under his careful training. He established an office at Fresno, and in 1889 opened an office in Flood�s block in this city. Among the buildings designed and erected by him are the First National Bank and Barton�s Opera House at Fresno, Kutner & Goldstein�s store, L. Einstein�s store, A. S. Edgerly�s store, a store for Lawrence Barrett, Miss West�s Seminary and many others, and a number of private residences.
