TONJES KRUDOP, Los Angeles Born in Hanover, Germany, of an ancient German family. Educated in Germany and N. Y. City schools, coming with parents to that city in 1870; then reared on an Iowa farm until twenty; secured a commercial education, taught school, and in 1885 began the study of medicine, at Hahnemann Medical College, Chicago, from which graduated in 1888 (having previously graduated from med. dept. Univ. of Minnesota). After post-graduate course at Hahnemann, settled at Minneapolis, Minn., where he successfully practiced until his coming to Los Angeles in 1899. Began professional work there in 1907; was prominently identified with Bethlehem Mission and in 1908 founded a free medical clinic at the Salvation Army Industrial Home. Mem. Homeopathic County, State of California, and Southern California Medical Societies and the American Institute. Married, in Philadelphia, Martine E. Muhlig, ward of the late William Thaw, of Pittsburg; she was a Hahnemann graduate (1888) and practitioner; died Jan. 6, 1910, leaving a son and two daughters.
