        This young lady is a native of the city of Petaluma, and a charter 
member of Santa Cruz Parlor, N. D. G. W. She has acceptably filled several 
offices in that organization. She is the daughter of G. P. Laird, a well-known 
and respected citizen of Santa Cruz. Her parents moved to this city during her 
infancy, and she received her education in the Santa Cruz schools. Miss Laird is 
a member of Calvary Episcopal Church.
