Amador County Biographies MERWIN LEACH Transcribed by Peggy Hooper This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm Was born in Franklin county, Vermont, in 1837, and came across the plains in 1860, bringing up in Amador City, where he lived for ten years. In 1870 he went to Plymouth, residing there for one year; thence to Church Union mines in El Dorado county for two years; thence to Kelsey, where he remained until April 18. 1881, when he returned to Plymouth, and purchased a half-interest in the store of Thompson Davis, with whom he has since remained.
