Was born in Russia August 15, 1852.  When thirteen years of age he went to 
England, where three years were spent.  In 1868 he came to California, and after 
spending three years in San Francisco, came to Lake County and engaged in 
general merchandising at Lower Lake, which business he still continues to 
follow.  Mr. Levy married, July 6, 1879, Miss Selina Wolf, a native of England.  
By this marriage they have one child, Solomon.
