farmer; was born in County Cavan, Ireland, November 12, 1847.  In 1860 he came 
to America, first settling in New York City, where he resided eight years, when, 
in 1868, he came to California, and settled on his present property.  Married at 
San Francisco, August 18, 1873, Mary Fitzpatrick, a native of County Cork, 
Ireland.
