PHILIP H. McVICAR

            Was born in Nova Scotia, July 7, 1857, and there resided until the 
year 1875, when he came to California.  In March, 1882, he purchased from P. C. 
Heslep, the blacksmith shop and woodwork department, located on Railroad Avenue, 
Livermore, where he carries on a large business in every branch of his trade.  
Is married and has one child.
