	druggist, Folsom; owns property in town valued at about $5000; 
born in Winchester, Virginia, in 1820; in 1840 removed to Ohio, and engaged in 
general merchandising until 1849; then came to this State, via Cape Horn, and 
settled where Folsom now is. He has been engaged principally in the drug 
business since his arrival, also, in the early days, sold miners' supplies. 
Married Miss Laura Wheeler in 1861; she was born in Ohio. They have four 
children two sons and two daughters. Mr. Meredith has been Supervisor for eight 
years and Notary Public for six years.
