Sacramento County Biographies JACOB MILLER Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PAGE 260. lives ten miles from Sacramento and three miles from Union House, his Post Office; he owns two thousand four hundred and thirty acres; was born in Germany in 1821, and lived there until 1847; he emigrated to the United States in that year, and came to California in 1849, engaging in farming in Yolo County; he settled in this county in 1853, where he has since lived is now engaged in farming, stock-raising, and dairying. Mr. Miller was married in 1852 to Elizabeth Kath, also a native of Germany. His land and improvements are worth about $36,000.
