Sacramento County Biographies HANS P PETERSON Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PAGE 260. farmer and fisherman; Post Office, Sacramento; lives six and a-half miles from Sacramento; he owns two hundred acres of land; was born in Denmark in 1845, and lived there until 1860; he then followed the sea until 1865, when he engaged in mining in Australia for about a year. He came to California in 1866, and settled in this county, where he has since lived, engaged in farming and fishing. His land and improvements are worth about $5,000. Mr. Peterson was married in 1873 to Amelia Mucke, a native of New York, and by whom he has had three daughters; one is deceased. A view of his place is given on another page.
