Post Office, Walsh Station ; lives fourteen miles from Sacramento on the old Jackson road; was born in New York in 1826 and lived there until 1844; in that year he removed to Illinois and remained there until 1850, engaged in farming; he then came to California across the plains and settled in this county; followed teaming from Sacramento City to Amador County until 1853; since then he has been farming and stock-raising; owns one thousand acres, worth about $8000. Mr. Plummer was married in 1860 to Miss E. B. Bailey, who was born in La Fayette County, Wisconsin, 1834; she came to this State with her parents in 1853; they have four children living a son and three daughters.
