Mendocino County Biographies Henry T. When he was eight years of age, his parents moved to Iowa. March 8, 1854, he started across the plains for California, arriving September 15th of that year. He located in Alameda county, and began farming. In 1856, he went to Olema, Marin county, where he engaged in dairying. He then went to the mines, where he remained two years. In 1861, he entered the United States service. He then returned to Marin county; thence to Sonoma county; then returned to Marin county, being engaged in farming and dairying in all those places. In 1868, he was Deputy Assessor of Marin county. In 1869, he came to Mendocino county, and was Deputy-Assessor for the northern portion of the county for several years. He located at Kibesilla in 1878, and has been Justice of the Peace for the past two years. He was married in 1869 to Miss Georgia C. Foster.
