W. Lehman. In 1855 they moved to J street and opened the Pioneer Bakery. Mr. Schroth became the sole proprietor in 1869. To obtain still better advantages Mr. Schroth some years ago purchased an interest in the Eagle Mills, at Knight's Landing; these mills are equipped with all the necessary machinery for the manufacture of flour, middlings, bran and ground feed. The firm owning the mill is Arnold & Schroth; they have a warehouse at No. 22 J street (adjoining the bakery), where a large stock of goods manufactured by the firm is constantly kept. In 1857 he married Amelia Fuchs, a native of Germany; they have three boys and three girls, all living. Mr. Schroth's Post Office is Sacramento.
