	Lives five miles from Galt, which is his Post Office; was born 
December 1853, in New Jersey; came to California with his parents in 1854, and 
lived in Placerville about one year; they then moved to Elkhorn Township, San 
Joaquin County, where he lived until March 1879, when he settled on his present 
place, and is now engaged in farming; he owns one hundred and sixty acres of 
land, which, with improvements, are worth about $3000.  He was married on the 
day of his majority, December 8, 1874, to Emma Sophia Tock, who was born January 
27, 1858, in New Brunswick; they have two children�Flora May, born December 18, 
1875, and Elmer J., born September 5, 1877.
