He was born in 1862, and was educated in the public schools of this city. Subsequently he studied law in his father's office, and was admitted to the bar in 1886. He was elected police judge the same year. He was married to Miss Marie S. Miller, of Santa Cruz, but his wife unfortunately died the next year. Since the expiration of this term of judge of the police court, Mr. Skirm has devoted himself to the business of abstracting and dealing in real estate. HISTORY OF SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.- E.
