Page 264 livery business, Folsom; owns property in Folsom; was born in Germany in 1832; that year his parents emigrated to the United States, and settled in Ohio. He remained there until 1852; then came to this State, by way of the Isthmus, and remained in Sacramento City for a short time; has continued to reside in the county since his arrival in the State; settled in Folsom in 1869, where he has carried on the livery business up to this time; was engaged in mining up till 1872 in the county. Married Miss Martha Wilson in 1875; she was born in California; they have two children, one son and one daughter. Mr. Strobel has held the office of Constable and Collector for the past two years.
