	attorney-at-law, Sacramento; was born in Ohio, in 1827; remained 
until 1835. Then to Illinois; remained until 1850. Then to California, engaged 
in the practice of law. In 1859 married Miss L. E. Dixon, a native of Ohio. They 
have one boy and one girl living. Mr. Taylor has held the office of Court 
Commissioner in 1869 and '70.
