	lives fourteen miles from Sacramento, and six miles from Elk 
Grove, his Post Office. Was born in Missouri, in 1850. He came to California in 
1852, with his parents. They settled in this county, and he has lived here ever 
since. He owns three hundred and twenty acres of land, worth, with improvements, 
about $3000. His father died in 1860; his mother is still living.
