THOMASSON Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm Post Office, Routier; lives six miles from Folsom, and sixteen miles from Sacramento; was born in Kentucky, in 1820; removed, in 1838, to Missouri, and lived there until 1842; he then went to Iowa, and remained there until 1845, when he returned to Missouri, and resided until 1850; he came to California, in that year, across the plains, and settled in this county, on his present location; he is engaged in farming and stock-raising; owns two hundred and fifty-four acres of land, worth, with improvements, about $7,000. He was married, in 1839, to Miss D. A. Anderson, a native of Syracuse, New York; they have three children a son and two daughters.
