The gentleman whose name stands at the head of this sketch is a young and enterprising man, and a recent acquisition of Los Angeles County. He is a native of Wisconsin, born in Manitowoc County, August 23, 1869, and is the son of E. B. and Charlotte H. (Farnsworth) Treat, the former being a native of New York and the latter of Wisconsin. E. B. Treat was a well-known and successful lawyer in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, for nineteen years, dying there November 20, 1880. He had two sons, Charles H. and William P. The subject of this sketch received a liberal High School education, and in 1887 graduated at the Spencerian College, in Milwaukee. His home in the future will be near Long Beach, on the beautiful property recently purchased by him.
