	Farmer; Post Office, Routier; lives on Coloma road, thirteen 
miles from Sacramento; owns one hundred and one acres of land, valued, with 
improvements, at $8,000. Born in New York State in 1825; lived there and engaged 
in farming until 1849; then came to this State; pursued mining for two years; 
then engaged in the livery business at Sacramento for five years; since then has 
followed farming. Married Miss Ellen Emery from Illinois in 1855; they have two 
sons and four daughters.
