Joseph Winston

Joe Winston was residing at Meadow valley in the spring of 1855, when he became 
the candidate for supervisor, and was elected in the third district. He served 
until the fall of that year, when he resigned, and was succeeded by I. J. Harvey 
of Spanish Ranch. He and Ripley C. Kelley were the successful candidates for the 
assembly in the fall of 1855, against Daniel R. Cate and T. F. Emmons.
