Sacramento County Biographies JOSEPH WRIGHT Transcribed by: Nancy Pratt Melton This file is part of the California Genealogy & History Archives http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PAGE 262. lives nine miles from Sacramento, and two and a half miles from Union House, which is his Post Office; owns one hundred and seventy-four acres of land; was born in Pennsylvania in 1844; when quite young removed, with his parents, to Illinois; came to California in 1852, and settled in Yolo County; he removed to this county in 1876, where he has since resided, and is now engaged in farming. Mr. Wright was married in 1874 to Miss Harriet Hatrite, a native of Utah. His land and improvements are worth about $5000. A view of his place may be seen on another page.
