CLENDENIN, E. P. Was born in Illinois April 2, 1858. When eleven years of age his parents immigrated to 
California and settled in Napa County. Here they resided until 1872, when they moved to Scotts Valley, 
Lake County, where the parents still reside. In March, 1880, the subject of this sketch, in company with 
his brother, William P., engaged in general merchandising in Kelseyville, which business they are still 
conducting. Mr. Clendenin married, May 7, 1881, Miss Amanda Gard of Kelseyville.
