After a journey of six months, attended with much suffering and hardship, he reached the place of destination. He mined in the vicinity of Placerville, and in Sierra county until 1857, when he came to Sonoma county and settled upon his present farm. He owns about seven hundred acres of land under good improvements. Married Catherine Keller February 1, 1863. She was born in county Cork; Ireland. Are members of the Catholic church.
