EDWIN G. OLSEN.  Son of Ole Hansen and Anne Pedersen, was born in Fredrikshald, Norway, June 7, 
1848. At his birthplace he resided until his twenty-first year, during which time he learned the tailoring 
trade. In 1869 he proceeded to Christiana, the capital of Norway, where he worked at his trade until 
March 28, 1873. He then immigrated to America, settling in Brooklyn, New York, where he was 
employed at his trade until March, 1877, when he started for California, first locating in San Francisco 
for a few months, when Mr. Olsen with his present partner, Mr. Hansen, came to Napa City and began 
their present business, that of merchant tailoring. Mr. Olsen still enjoys the foil: happiness of 
bachelorhood.
