All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. CAULFIELD, ORANGE S (1840-1920) UNKNOWN (Unidentified Monterey Newspaper April 29, 1920) Death of Orange Caulfield Orange S. Caulfield, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home in this city this morning aged 80 years, 5 months and 21 days Mr. Caulfield was born at Lowell, Massachusetts, January 10th 1840. He served all through the Civil War- the first three years with the 7th Mass. Light Battery, and after two months at home he enlisted in the navy where he served till the end of the war. he and Mrs. Caulfield had resided in Pacific Grove fifteen years. The funeral will be held at the parlors of J.K. Paul on Saturday, the hour to be announced later.
