E; transferred to the US Navy 28 Aug 1864 as an ordinary seaman, served on USS Florida and USS Quaker City; discharged June 11, 1865 from receiving ship, Philadelphia, PA (NH vols. 1861-1865 by the Adjutant General, 1868 p 271;)
