George Warren Hanson, b 23 June 1941, Lee, Strafford, NH; Civil War; age 21, Born Lee, NH, 
resident Lee, credited Lee' enlisted 7 Aug 1862 for 3 years; mustered in 19 Sept 1862 as 
private in Concord by Charles Holmes, Capt 17 th US Infantry' served in Co. E; transferred to 
the US Navy 28 Aug 1864 as an ordinary seaman, served on USS Florida and USS Quaker City; 
discharged June 11, 1865 from receiving ship, Philadelphia, PA (NH vols. 1861-1865 by the 
Adjutant General, 1868 p 271;)
