He was born in Kentucky in May 1836. During the Civil War he defended his country in the Third Kentucky volunteers. For some years he was a member of the Grand Army Post s in Missouri. By occupation he was a Baptist Minister and has preached for that denomination for more than forty years. He resided for a time in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but came here about two years ago. Hale, both of Janesville, California. Mrs. Price was here at the time of her father’s death. The funeral will be held from the residence on Friday afternoon with Rev. Richards, pastor of the Baptist Church of Monterey , as the officiating clergyman. Lucius Fairchild Post Grand Army of the Republic will conduct (?) the service in respect for their late comrade.
