Old Veteran Passes Away
  George F. Lowe, brother of Mrs. Byrnes of New Monterey died yesterday morning at the 
home of his sister.  Deceased was a native of Massachusetts, aged 71 years.
  Mr. Lowe came to Monterey about one year ago.  He was a member of the G.A.R.
  the funeral will take place at 2 o’clock today, and will be under the auspices of Lucius 
Fairchild Post.  Interment, Pacific Grove cemetery.
