Wallace 68 years ten months died Jan 22, 1910. B: March 17, 1841 Michigan Teacher Father Daniel Wallace IOOF (Santa Cruz Sentinel: January 23, 1910) Sudden Death of Old Soldier F.S. Wallace, the step father of E. V. Moody, died suddenly on Saturday evening at five o'clock, the result of a paralytic stroke received during the afternoon. He had been apparently well on Saturday previous to the attack and was on the street. To make matters all the sadder his wife is sick in bed. Mr. Wallace, who resides at New Monterey came to this city about a month ago for the benefit of his health. The deceased was an old soldier having served throughout the Civil War, and was Past Commander of the G.A.R. Post at Pacific Grove. He was a native of Michigan, aged 65 years. Mr. Wallace at one time was the Superintendent of Schools of San Benito Co. Besides those mentioned he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sterling Bromlee, of Kentfield, Marin Co., who is now on her way to this city. The deceased is to be buried in this city, most likely under the auspices of the G.A.R. (Santa Cruz Sentinel January 24, 1910) DIED: WALLACE- In Santa Cruz Jan 22nd Frank S. All old soldiers and friends are invited to attend. (Yvonne Moody Mancini May 14, 2000) He [Frank S Wallace] is buried with his wife, Mary Findley Moody Wallace my husbands Great Grand Mother. Some information you may not have is that Frank was her second husband, her first husband was James Moody. Mary was also the niece of Judge Blackburn. Her mother was Maria Blackburn and her Father Col. William Findley from Henderson Ill., now buried in Wheatland , California. I also noticed that Maria’s sister Francis Findley Staffler is buried with her husband George Staffler also in Santa Cruz Memorial Park. I know that Frank and Mary Wallace lived in Monterey about 1908. Frank was a school teacher and I think I have some photos of him with his classes......but nothing is marked, I’m hoping to track down a photo of him to compare. They married late in life and had no children . Sorry, I can go on......thanks very much Yvonne Mancini Moody , Vancouver, WA
