Veteran Passes in Grove Samuel A. Woolf, one of the last surviving members of the Fairchild Post, Grand Army of the Republic, passed away this morning at his home in Pacific Grove following an illness of three weeks Woolf, who has been a Pacific Grove resident for the past 25 years, was retired from business. He was a native of Ohio. Funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove, Rev. Robert McArthur of the Methodist church officiating. Interment will be with G.A.R. ceremonies in the Civil War Veterans’ plot in El Carmelo cemetery.
