Banks and grandfather of Mrs. Gladys Gonnelian of No. 828 D avenue, Coronado; a native of France, aged 90 years, 22 days. Funeral services will be announced later by Bradley & Woolman. 90 - YEAR OLD VETERAN OF MEXICAN WAR DIES Dr. Frederick X. Banks, Pioneer, Also Served in War of Rebellion Dr. Frederick X. Banks, a veteran of the Mexican and Civil wars, died at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Gladys Gonnelian, at Coronado, early yesterday morning. Dr. Banks was a pioneer resident of California and a charter member of the oldest Odd Fellows lodge in the state. He was ninty years of age. After serving in the Mexican war as army surgeon, he came to California in 1848, but enlisted once more when the War of the Rebellion broke out. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Anna R. Banks. Funeral services, the date of which will be given later, will be held at the undertaking establishment of Bradley & Woolman, under the Auspices of the Odd Fellows. Interment will be at Odd Fellows cemetery.
