      Sales of Land

      The following table shows the principal sales of farming and gardening 
      lands in Yolo County since the 1st of January, 1869, as shown by the 
      county records up to August 1st, 1870. The names of the grantors are 
      alphabetically arranged. There have been many other transfers of real 
      estate, but the lands conveyed thereby have been in some instances swamp 
      and overflowed, in others mountain lands, and in others transfers of 
      possessory rights, without title, so that it is believed the table shows a 
      fair estimate of the transfers of the farming lands within the time 
      specified:
