DOWNEY-Private services were held for Hermann Abegglen, a resident of Downey for 63 years 
who was self-employed for 25 of them. 
He was born in Switzerland Dec. 2, 1911 and died Dec. 31, 1997 in Bell Gardens. 
Survivors include his wife, Gerd Abegglen; his daughter, Anabelle A. Apodaca; two granddaughters 
and two great-grandchildren. 
Burial was also private.
