'Unrestrained' driver ejected, dies in crash near Boron
BORON � Anthony Michael Alessi, 27,of Lancaster died August 17th when he was 
ejected from the pickup truck he was driving to Lancaster from Las Vegas, 
according to the Kern County Coroner's office.

Jeff Cameron of the Coroner's Office said Alessi was not wearing a safety belt 
when he lost control of the pickup, which rolled, ejecting him.

The accident occurred on Highway 58 at Borax road shortly after midnight August 
17th.
 
He was airlifted to Kern Medical Center with severe injuries and pronounced 
dead on arrival.

Alessi is the fifth person to die in a traffic collision in Southeast Kern in 
the last two weeks, all of whom were not wearing safety belts.
