Source Unknown; 29 Oct 1942 STROKE TAKES ENGINEER ON JOB While at work in his cab on a Southern Pacific locomotive last Saturday, Byron L. Angell, 48, popular engineer of the road, suffered a heart attack and dropped dead in his cab. Mr. Angell had pulled up his train preparatory to leaving the yards, shut oft his steam and stopped his train, Then the attack occurred. He leaves his wife, a resident of Glendale, Calif., to mourn his demise. The funeral took place Tuesday at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Little Church of the Flowers and was attended by many of his co-workers and friends. Employees of both the Santa Fe and the Southern Pacific contributed in excess of $50.00 worth of floral offerings, testifying to esteem in which Mr. Angell was held.
