The Downey Eagle June 1, 2001 Volume 9 Number 15 Antoinette Mary Anton helped church programs DOWNEY-A Mass of Christian Burial was heard Thursday, May 31 at St. Raymond's Catholic Church for Antoinette Mary Anton, who loved to cook and bake and was very involved in church activities. She was born in Buffalo, New York on July 25, 1917 to Andrew and Mary Cislo. She was involved in Catholic Church activities, helping with the sandwich program which helps feed the needy. She belonged to the Catholic Daughters, the AARP, and the Archdiocese of Council Catholic Women, and was co-captain of the Woman's Retreat for St. Raymond's Church, Sacred Heart Retreat House. Survivors include her daughter, Marie; sons Paul, Jim and John; grandchildren Mark, Theresia and Andrew. Entombment followed at the Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to the Sacred Heart Retreat House, 920 E. Alhambra Road, Alhambra, CA 91801. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
