The Downey Eagle July 17, 1998 Volume 6 Number 21 Francisco Baldaras, Sr. funeral services held DOWNEY-Funeral services for Francisco Baldaras, Sr., a Downey resident for 25 years and a pipefitter, were held July 10 at St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Downey. He was 67, born in Rio Verde, S.L.P., Mexico, and came to the U.S. in 1953, settling in Chicago, Illinois. In 1963 he moved to Southern California. He was a member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church, and served in the U.S. military in Korea. He was an active member of the Pipefitters's Union Local 250. Survivors include his wife, Maria Lucila Balderas of Downey; his six children, Luz Marina, Lucy, Francisco, Jr., John Fitzgerald, Ernest and Elizabeth; and four grandchildren, Paul, Kennedy, Natalie and Miranda. Father Stephen Davoren officiated. Burial followed at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello. Memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society Memorial Program, P.O.
