All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. "Big Bear Grizzly"; Date Unknown Janet Ballord 84, passed away in Palm Springs, Calif., September 2, 2004. Born in Nebraska on April 18, 1920, she enjoyed the cool summers at her home in Big Bear and the beautiful mild winters at her home in Banning. Janet loved being surrounded with flowers,friends, family, and most of all her husband, Lee (Bud) Ballord. Janet thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about fun times with old and new friends. She maintained several treasured friendships from as far back as elementary school. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Glendale, Calif., and raised four beautiful children. She was known for her endless energy and always ready to learn and have fun! She is loved and survived by her husband, Bud; son and daughter in-law Gary and Rose Stupp of San Diego, Calif.; son Keith Stupp of Anaheim, Calif; daughter and son in-law Debby and Rick Hepburn of Manassas, Virginia; daughter Cindy Hancock of Vermont; step-son and daughter in-law Boyd and Pam Ballord of Big Bear, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A graveside service was performed at the Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd Riverside, CA 92518
