All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Age 86, entered into rest at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, MO, November 27, 2001 after a long illness. Peter was among the first team of landscapers in Golden Gate park in San Francisco in 1928. His love for landscaping followed him throughout his career. In 1946, he opened Fox Garden Center in San Mateo, CA. One of his biggest personal achievements was receiving his California Landscaping license. While working at the Garden Center he also did contract landscaping for many homes in the Hillsborough area. In the late 1960's, he and his wife moved to Fremont where he opened another nursery in Alex discount store. He later opened Tri-City Florist in the Irvington district until they retired in 1982. He was preceeded in death by his wife in 1994. Catherine faithfully worked alongside Peter in all of their business ventures. Peter spent the last few years of his life in Kirbyville, Missouri where family surrounded him where he enjoyed being "Papa" and ! "G! reat Grandpa". Peter is the father of 2 children, Peter Barizon of Corpus Cristi, Texas and Carolyn Robbins of Kirbyville, Missouri. Peter was "Papa" to 4 grandchildren, Catherine Carr of Charlotte, North Carolina; Deborah Moore of Kansas City, Missouri; Robert Robbins of Kirbyville, Missouri; and Peter Paul Barizon of San Angelo, Texas. He also had 6 great-grandchildren, Tommy &Maggie, Allison &Kyle, and Kathryn & Bobby. Family and friends are invited to attend a vigil service Tuesday, December 4, 2001 @ 7:00 PM with visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 PM held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont. A funeral mass will be Wednesday, December 5, 2001 @ 11:00 AM at St. Leonards Church, 3600 St. Leonards Way, Fremont. Burial will follow mass at Irvington Memorial Cemetery.
