 left us at the young age of 22 on June 26, 2010, in Boston, Mass. Brien was born i
n Harbor Springs, Mich., on May 4, 1988. He came to Big Bear Lake in 2003 to attend 
Big Bear High School and live with his Aunt Sue Battiste. Brien was a big part of the 
Captain's Anchorage family.

    Brien graduated from Big Bear High in 2006. Brien received a full scholarship to 
Harvard, which we were all so proud of and moved to Boston to pursue his studies in 
economics. Brien was a huge inspiration to all and will be dearly missed.

    A memorial will be held for Brien on Sunday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m. upstairs at  Captain's 
Anchorage.

    Donations can be made at Union Bank to benefit the music department at Big Bear 
High School in honor of Brien's love for music.
