The Downey Eagle February 27, 1998 Volume 6 Number 1 Services held Tuesday for Lorene Opal Bean DOWNEY-Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel in Downey for Lorene Opal Bean, a resident of Downey for 12 years and a homemaker, who died at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center March 19. She was 82, born in Dolf, Arkansas, and was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Downey. In the 1960s she was an avid coach of Little League with her husband. They went on to coach all-star teams. Survivors include her daughters, Kellene Gilbert Cohen of Fullerton, Vonda Seals of Colorado; sons William Arthur Bean of San Diego, Charles Oliver Bean of Bellflower; 15 grandchildren; many great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jean Carroll La Rue. Pastor Glenn Kravig officiated. Burial followed at Park Lawn Memorial Park in Commerce. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
