Redlands Daily Facts Newspaper; 01/31/2008 Ruth Benart, 86 Ruth Alma Benart, a six-year resident of Redlands and former resident of East Highlands, died of congestive heart failure Jan. 22 at Mission Commons in Redlands. She was 86. She was born May 5, 1921, in Detroit and had lived in East Highlands for more than 15 years before moving to Redlands. She was a homemaker for much of her life. She also worked as a visiting nurse and cosmetologist and was a docent for the Los Angeles Arboretum. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Highland. Survivors include sons Dennis C. Moorman of Chino Hills, Scott Benart of Redlands and Stephen Benart of Riverside; daughter Suzanne Kellon of Chino Hills; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
